- 4 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour

- 1/2 teaspoon Ground Ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cloves
- 1 cup Butter (cold)
- 1/2 cup Grated Apple
- 1 cup Buttermilk (chilled)
- 3 tablespoons Unsalted Butter (chilled)
- 3 tablespoons Honey
- pinch Salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, and spices.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add the chilled buttermilk and grated apple; mix gently until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface, knead gently, then roll out to about ¾ inch thick and cut into rounds.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- While biscuits bake, mix together glaze ingredients until smooth.
- Brush warm biscuits with honey butter glaze before serving.
