- 3 oz dark chocolate bar, chopped
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cornstarch. Set aside.
- Using a stand mixer with a paddle attachment, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
- Mix in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients while mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least one hour or up to 24 hours for better flavor and thickness.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Scoop large dough balls (about 1/3 cup each) onto the prepared sheet, leaving space between each ball.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until edges are set but centers appear slightly underbaked.
