- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)

- 2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cold unsalted butter (cubed)
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg (plus 1 egg yolk)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Make brownie cookie dough: Cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy; mix in egg and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and fold into wet mixture with chocolate chips.
- In a separate bowl, cream cold cubed butter with sugars for the chocolate chip cookie dough. Add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla, then combine dry ingredients and fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop out balls of each dough type; combine a brownie ball with a chocolate chip ball and roll into one larger ball.
- Bake for 8–9 minutes until edges are set; let cool on sheets before transferring to wire racks.
