Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 12 oz rotini pasta
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Cook the rotini: Boil salted water in a large pot and cook rotini until al dente (9-11 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- 2. Brown the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil, add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Cook until browned; remove from skillet.
- 3. Sauté garlic: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes.
- 4. Make the sauce: Add beef broth and cream to the skillet; stir and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and mix in cheeses until melted.
- 5. Combine: Return beef and rotini to the skillet; toss until coated in sauce.
- 6. Serve: Garnish with parsley and extra cheese if desired.
