  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 2 cups marinara sauce, plus extra for serving
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Spread half of the meat mixture in a baking dish. Layer with 1 cup mozzarella cheese, chopped spinach, and 1/2 cup marinara sauce.
  4. Cover the filling with the remaining meat mixture and top with another 1/2 cup marinara sauce.
  5. Bake for 45–50 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Add remaining mozzarella cheese on top and bake an additional 5–10 minutes until melted.
  6. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley and serve with extra marinara sauce.
