Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Brown the butter in a medium saucepan until it turns amber and aromatic; let cool.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and spices in a bowl.
- Mix the cooled butter with sugars, egg white, vanilla extract, and pumpkin puree until smooth.
- Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients without overmixing.
- Fold in chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
- Scoop dough onto prepared sheets and bake for 9 to 10 minutes until edges are golden but centers are still soft.
- Cool on the sheet for about 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
