Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter for the brownie batter. Mix in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, and salt; stir until smooth.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla for the cookie dough. Gradually add flour, baking soda, and salt until forming a soft dough; fold in chocolate chips.
- Spread brownie batter evenly into the prepared dish. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough on top and gently press down for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until edges are set but center remains slightly gooey.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
