- 2 lbs ground beef (80-85% lean)
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Panko)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup ketchup (plus more for glaze)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, eggs, milk, breadcrumbs, garlic, ketchup, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in the prepared pan.
- For the glaze, mix ketchup with brown sugar and white vinegar; brush half over the meatloaf.
- Bake for about 45 minutes; brush with remaining glaze and continue baking until it reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- Let rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
