Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 ½ cups cake flour
- 1 Tablespoon baking powder
- 1 cup whole milk
- ¾ cup chopped Oreo cookies
- 1.5 quarts Cookies and Cream ice cream
- 2 cups whipped cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add flour, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth. Fold in chopped Oreo cookies.
- Divide the batter between prepared pans and bake for about 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool on a rack.
- Once cooled, layer one cake on a platter, spread half the softened ice cream over it, then top with the second cake layer.
- Frost the top with whipped cream and garnish with additional Oreo cookie pieces.
- Freeze for at least four hours before slicing.
