- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, room temperature
- ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 3 ripe bananas
- ½ cup (113g) butter, melted
- ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (100g) light brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- ½ cup sour cream, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups (256g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9×5-inch loaf pans.
- In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add one egg and vanilla extract; mix well. Stir in flour until combined. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mash ripe bananas. Mix in melted butter, both sugars, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract until blended.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Gradually add to the banana mixture until just combined.
- Pour half the banana batter into each pan, top with cream cheese mixture, then cover with remaining banana batter.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
