  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • ½ cup (113g) butter, melted
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • ½ cup (100g) light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • ½ cup sour cream, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (256g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9×5-inch loaf pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add one egg and vanilla extract; mix well. Stir in flour until combined. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, mash ripe bananas. Mix in melted butter, both sugars, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract until blended.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Gradually add to the banana mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour half the banana batter into each pan, top with cream cheese mixture, then cover with remaining banana batter.
  6. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
