- 2 chicken breasts, cut into 1” pieces
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Flour for dredging
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
- ½ medium onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ⅔ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup full-fat sour cream
Instructions
- Season chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper; coat with flour.
- Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken until browned on all sides. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, add butter and remaining olive oil; sauté mushrooms and onions until golden brown.
- Stir in mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic; cook for one minute. Pour in chicken broth while scraping the pan.
- Return chicken to the pan and cook for an additional two minutes. Stir in sour cream until well combined; heat through gently without boiling.
- Adjust seasoning if needed and serve immediately over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
