  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Flour for dredging
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ⅔ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup full-fat sour cream

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper; coat with flour.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken until browned on all sides. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter and remaining olive oil; sauté mushrooms and onions until golden brown.
  4. Stir in mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic; cook for one minute. Pour in chicken broth while scraping the pan.
  5. Return chicken to the pan and cook for an additional two minutes. Stir in sour cream until well combined; heat through gently without boiling.
  6. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve immediately over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
