Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 2 lbs)
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- Olive oil (optional for searing)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- If desired, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear each chicken breast for 2–3 minutes on each side until browned.
- Place the seasoned chicken in the crockpot.
- In a bowl, whisk together the chicken broth and cream of chicken soup; pour over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until the chicken is tender.
- Mix cornstarch with water until smooth; stir into the crockpot about 30 minutes before serving to thicken the gravy.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
