Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups fresh strawberries (hulled and sliced)
- 1 ½ cups fresh lemon juice (about 6 medium lemons)
- 6 cups cold water
- Ice
- Additional strawberries and lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and water; bring to a boil until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Blend hulled strawberries in a food processor until smooth to create a puree.
- Mix the strawberry puree into the cooled sugar syrup, then add lemon juice and stir well.
- Pour the mixture into a large pitcher, add cold water, and stir until combined.
- Serve over ice, garnished with chopped strawberries and lemon slices.
