Ingredients
- 2–3 garlic cloves (finely minced)
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon coarse salt
- 1 beef tenderloin (about 1¼ pounds)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, balsamic vinegar, ground mustard, salt, pepper, and olive oil to create the marinade. Rub over the beef tenderloin and marinate for at least one hour or overnight for best results.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Heat olive oil in a heavy sauté pan over medium-high heat. Sear the marinated beef on all sides for about 4 minutes.
- Transfer the pan to the oven and roast until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C), around 20-30 minutes.
- Let the tenderloin rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
