Ingredients
- 8 sheets phyllo dough
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup semolina flour
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup honey, warmed
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Lay one sheet of phyllo in the dish and brush it with melted butter. Repeat this process for six more sheets.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together semolina flour, eggs, sugar, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth. Pour over the phyllo base.
- Place the final sheet of phyllo on top and brush with melted butter between layers. Score the top lightly to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown. Allow cooling for about 10 minutes before drizzling with honey and sprinkling with sesame seeds.
