Ingredients
- 1 large piece of flank steak (up to 3 pounds)
- 1/3 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 T soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp ground chipotle chile powder
- Optional: 2 tsp lime zest
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine lime juice, olive oil, cumin, oregano, onion powder, garlic powder, soy sauce, chipotle powder, and optional lime zest.
- Place the flank steak in a Ziploc bag and pour marinade over it. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or up to 24 hours.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat while bringing the steak to room temperature.
- Grill the marinated steak for approximately 4-6 minutes per side based on desired doneness (140-145°F for medium rare).
- Let rest for about 5 minutes before slicing against the grain and serving.
