Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground turkey
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup whole-wheat breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/3 cup finely chopped parsley
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 2 teaspoons canola oil for cooking
- 1 cucumber, diced small
- 1/2 cup chopped chives or green onions
- 1 medium ripe tomato, finely diced
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, onions, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into 4 to 5 equal-sized patties.
- Lightly coat each patty with olive oil and preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the patties for about 5 to 6 minutes on each side until fully cooked through.
- While grilling, mix the cucumber salad ingredients in another bowl and set aside.
- Serve the turkey burgers with the cucumber salad on the side.
