  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons oil (canola or vegetable)
  • 45 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine warm water, yeast, and a pinch of honey or sugar. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add the remaining honey or sugar, salt, oil, and 3 cups of flour to the mixture. Stir until combined.
  3. Gradually add flour until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl and feels smooth yet slightly tacky.
  4. Knead the dough by hand or using a stand mixer for about 4-5 minutes until elastic.
