- 1/4 cup honey (60 ml)
- 1/4 cup melted butter (60 ml)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 cups all-purpose flour (375 g)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a small bowl, soak rolled oats in warm milk for 10 minutes.
- Activate yeast by dissolving it in warm water; add honey and let it sit until bubbly.
- Combine soaked oats, melted butter, and activated yeast mixture.
- Gradually incorporate flour, cinnamon, and salt to form a shaggy dough.
- Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled (1-1.5 hours).
- Shape into a log and place in a greased loaf pan; let rise again for about 30-40 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
