Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 3 medium ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 3/4 cups)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips, divided
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350˚F and prepare a greased and floured 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Stir in mashed bananas and vanilla until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in 3/4 cup chocolate chips; reserve the rest for topping.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 55–65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
