Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- ½ cup white sugar
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- 1 large egg (room temperature)
- 1 large egg yolk (room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ⅓ cup Dutch processed cocoa powder
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a stand mixer or large bowl, beat the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Scrape down the bowl and add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder; mix on low speed until just combined.
- Fold in the white chocolate chips and chill the dough for 45–60 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough per cookie onto prepared sheets, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 10–11 minutes and press additional white chocolate chips onto warm cookies before serving.
