- 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup melted butter
- Additional powdered sugar for icing (to taste)
- 2 tbsp milk (for icing)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar; let sit until foamy (about 5 minutes). Stir in melted butter.
- Gradually add flour to form a soft dough. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled.
- Punch down the risen dough, shape it into a rectangle on a greased baking sheet, creating dimples on the surface.
- Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over the dough while pressing lightly into the surface.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly.
- Whisk powdered sugar with milk to make icing; drizzle over warm focaccia before slicing.
