  • 16 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 8 oz lump crab meat
  • 4 oz claw crab meat
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella (shredded)
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella (cubed)
  • 1/4 cup shallot (minced)
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper (minced)
  • 1 tbsp parsley (freshly chopped)
  • 1 tbsp chives (minced)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic (paste or minced)
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 3 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Canola oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 1 tsp parsley (freshly chopped)
  • 1 tsp chives (freshly chopped)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, lump crab meat, claw crab meat, shredded mozzarella, minced shallots, minced red bell pepper, parsley, chives, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, Old Bay seasoning, and black pepper until creamy.
  2. Shape about two tablespoons of the mixture around a cube of mozzarella to form sticks.
  3. Dip each stick in an egg wash followed by panko breadcrumbs to coat thoroughly.
  4. Heat canola oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C). Fry sticks in batches until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes).
  5. Prepare the remoulade sauce by mixing mayo with parsley, chives, Dijon mustard, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, and cayenne pepper until smooth.
