Ingredients
- 2 pounds organic lemons (about 7 lemons)
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 cups water (plus more to dilute)
- 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves
- Optional: 2 teaspoons rose water
Instructions
- In a large bowl, alternate layers of lemon slices and sugar until all are used.
- Gently mash the lemons with a muddler or masher to release juices.
- Cover and let sit for at least 30 minutes (up to 24 hours in the fridge).
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to collect about two cups of lemon syrup.
- Combine remaining lemon pieces with two cups of water, mash again, and strain.
- Mix all liquids for lemonade concentrate; store in the fridge until ready.
- For individual servings, blend half a cup of concentrate with a quarter cup of water and fresh mint leaves.
- For a pitcher, blend all concentrate with additional water and mint before serving over ice.
