Ingredients
- 16 oz whole wheat or regular spaghetti
- 6 tablespoons salted butter
- 7–10 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Sauté garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Stir in lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and reserved pasta water; bring to a gentle boil.
- Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss with grated Parmesan until evenly coated. Adjust sauce consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan.
