- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 9 oz package cheese tortellini
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (for heat)
- Fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and let rest.
- Cook tortellini according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic for about 1-2 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese; simmer until thickened (about 3-4 minutes).
- Slice the chicken and add it along with the cooked tortellini to the sauce. Toss until well combined. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
- Serve topped with fresh basil.
