  • For Frosting: 1 cup unsalted butter, 2/3 cup Nutella, 3 cups powdered sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa powder, 3 tbsp heavy cream

  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix egg, milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and brewed coffee until combined.
  4. Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients while mixing until smooth.
  5. Fill cupcake liners about two-thirds full with batter and bake for approximately 18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow cooling before frosting with the prepared Nutella buttercream.
