Ingredients
- 15 chicken or beef sausage franks
- 1 tube (13.8 ounces) pizza dough
- 5 cups water
- ¼ cup baking soda
- 1 large egg (beaten)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle (¼-inch thick) and cut into 15 strips.
- Wrap each strip around a sausage, sealing the ends.
- In a saucepan, bring water to a boil and stir in baking soda. Boil wrapped sausages for 20-30 seconds, then place on the baking sheet.
- Brush each with beaten egg and sprinkle with salt.
- Bake for 20-21 minutes or until golden brown.
