- 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add shrimp and sauté for 3-4 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and simmer gently.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet along with reserved pasta water as needed. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Return shrimp to the skillet, mixing gently until well coated with sauce.
- Serve garnished with fresh parsley.
