  • 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add shrimp and sauté for 3-4 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and simmer gently.
  4. Add cooked pasta to the skillet along with reserved pasta water as needed. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet, mixing gently until well coated with sauce.
  6. Serve garnished with fresh parsley.
