- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- ½ teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 ¾ cups warm water (about 110°F)
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Optional: ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, instant yeast, fresh rosemary, minced garlic, and optional black pepper.
- Add the warm water and olive oil; stir until a sticky dough forms.
- Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise at room temperature for 12-18 hours until doubled in size and bubbly.
- Lightly flour your work surface and gently shape the dough into a round loaf.
- Transfer the dough onto floured parchment paper and let it rest for about 30-45 minutes while preheating your oven to 450°F (230°C) with a Dutch oven inside.
- Carefully place the dough (with parchment) into the hot Dutch oven; cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
