Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder until well combined.
- Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In another bowl, whisk together egg, milk, and vanilla extract. Gradually add this to the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Knead the dough gently on a floured surface until it holds together.
- Roll out to about 1/2-inch thickness and cut with a round cookie cutter.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Cool completely on a wire rack before dusting with powdered sugar.
