Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
- Red, green, and white candy melts (for decoration)
- Mini candy bows or holiday sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat and whisk in sugar until smooth. Cool slightly before adding eggs and vanilla; whisk until thick and glossy.
- In another bowl, sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Fold into the wet mixture using a rubber spatula until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips if using.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Allow to cool completely before decorating.
- Melt candy melts in separate bowls, then drizzle over cooled brownies to resemble ribbons. Add mini bows or sprinkles as desired.
