  • ½ cup salted butter (melted)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
  • ⅔ cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup sour cream (room temperature)
  • 16 ounces whipped topping (divided)
  • 3 ounces strawberry gelatin
  • ¾ cup boiling water
  • ¼ cup ice cubes
  • ½ cup heavy cream (room temperature)
  • 1½ cups chopped fresh strawberries

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust by crushing vanilla wafers and mixing with melted butter. Press into a 9×13 inch pan.
  2. For the cream cheese layer, blend cream cheese, powdered sugar, and sour cream until smooth. Fold in half of the whipped topping and spread over the crust.
  3. Make the strawberry layer by dissolving gelatin in boiling water, then adding ice cubes. Once cooled, mix in heavy cream and fold in strawberries and remaining whipped topping.
  4. Spread the strawberry layer over the cream cheese layer and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to set.
