- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Prepare the crust by mixing flour, salt, and sugar in a bowl. Add cold butter until crumbly, then stir in ice water until combined. Shape into a disk and chill for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface, transfer it to a pie pan, and prick the bottom.
- In another bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, cocoa powder, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in pecans and chocolate chips.
- Pour the filling into the crust and bake for 50-60 minutes until set.
- Cool for at least 2 hours before slicing.
