- Butter Pecan Cake Mix (or yellow cake mix)
- Large Eggs (or flax eggs for vegan option)
- Vegetable Oil (or melted butter)
- Milk (almond or soy milk as substitutes)
- Sweetened Condensed Milk
- Chopped Pecans
- Coconut Pecan Frosting (or cream cheese frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the Butter Pecan Cake Mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and milk using an electric mixer until well combined.
- Pour batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and bake for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Once baked, poke holes in the cake while warm.
- In a saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, butter, and chopped pecans over medium heat; stir until warmed through.
- Pour the warm sauce over the poked cake.
- Allow to cool completely before frosting with coconut pecan frosting and garnishing with additional pecans.
