Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter (melted)
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole-rolled old fashioned oats
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 35 caramel squares
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch pan with aluminum foil, spraying it with cooking spray.
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt butter, then mix in brown sugar and vanilla until smooth. Add flour, oats, baking soda, and salt; stir until combined.
- Press half the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, melt caramel squares with heavy cream in the microwave until smooth.
- Remove the base from the oven, sprinkle chocolate chips on top, pour warm caramel over it, and crumble remaining base mixture on top.
- Bake again for 15–18 minutes until edges are lightly browned.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing.
