- 1 1/4 cup sugar

- 1 1/4 cup hot water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 square baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and remaining cocoa powder; sprinkle over the batter.
- Carefully pour hot water over the top without stirring.
- Bake for approximately 35 minutes or until set.
