Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry (defrosted, about 8 oz)
- 0.25 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 0.5 cup melted butter
- Powdered sugar (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
- In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon together until well combined.
- Brush the rolled-out pastry generously with melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over it.
- Cut the dough into strips approximately 1 inch wide and twist each strip several times to form spirals.
- Place the twisted strips on the prepared baking sheet. Optionally brush with egg wash for a glossy finish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
- Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar if desired.
