  • 500 g beef brisket, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 100 ml light soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 100 ml beef broth
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, coat the beef strips with cornstarch.
  2. Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Sear the beef until golden brown; remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, sesame oil, and broth; stir well.
  4. Return the beef to the pan and simmer in the sauce for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Serve hot garnished with green onions and sesame seeds over rice or noodles.
