Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 stalks celery (diced)
- 1 medium onion (diced)
- 2 cloves garlic (diced)
- 2 pounds ground beef (10% – 15% fat)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/3 cup catsup
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 2 eggs (lightly beaten)
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Sauté diced onion and celery until tender, about 5–6 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant; remove from heat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef with salt and pepper. Add the sautéed vegetables, catsup, Dijon mustard, vinegar, thyme, beaten eggs, and panko bread crumbs. Mix until just combined.
- Transfer the meat mixture into a loaf shape in a baking dish or loaf pan.
- For the glaze: In a small bowl, mix together catsup, Dijon mustard, Tabasco sauce, and brown sugar. Spread over the meatloaf.
- Bake for approximately 50 minutes or until an internal thermometer reads 160°F.
