Ingredients
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 1/4 cup (312.5ml) milk (2% or whole)
- 2/3 cup (132g) granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tbsp (15ml) vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (62.5g) all-purpose flour
- 2 cups (300g) ripe strawberries, hulled and halved
- Powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and butter an 8-9 inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together milk, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Gradually add flour and salt until smooth; strain if necessary.
- Place halved strawberries at the bottom of the baking dish and pour the batter over them.
- Bake for 1 hour until puffed and golden brown, with a slightly wobbly center.
- Transfer to a cooling rack; dust with powdered sugar before serving warm or cooled.
