  • 2/3 cup (132g) granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (62.5g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups (300g) ripe strawberries, hulled and halved
  • Powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and butter an 8-9 inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together milk, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Gradually add flour and salt until smooth; strain if necessary.
  3. Place halved strawberries at the bottom of the baking dish and pour the batter over them.
  4. Bake for 1 hour until puffed and golden brown, with a slightly wobbly center.
