Ingredients
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 1 ½ sticks unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- 3 large eggs plus 1 egg yolk
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon fine sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line an 8×8-inch metal baking pan with foil or parchment paper and spray it with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semisweet chocolate chips, unsweetened chocolate, and butter. Microwave in intervals until melted and smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, egg yolk, and sugar with an electric mixer until thick and light in color. Add vanilla extract.
- Gently fold the cooled chocolate mixture into the egg mixture. Then add flour and salt, mixing just until combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely before slicing into squares.
